Roseacre Primary Academy is now part of Achievement through Collaboration Multi Academy Trust.
In December 2018, Roseacre achieved the Inclusion Quality Mark and were invited to become a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion. This could not have happened without the skills, experience, competence and commitment of a very special team. Due to the retirement of a long-standing member of our Safeguarding and Inclusion Team, Roseacre Primary Academy is looking to appoint a Safeguarding Officer who will contribute to, and expand upon, our existing inclusive practices.
Trustees, governors and staff are inordinately proud of Roseacre’s reputation, its standing in the community it serves and the children who attend; they know that it is a special place to work and to learn. We are looking to appoint someone who demonstrates a true desire to work at Roseacre and be part of this exceptional team.
At our Ofsted inspection in March 2018, Roseacre continued to be a ‘Good Provider’.
Our Academy offers:
- A strong ethos, where the school values of: excellence, determination, respect, tolerance, courage and honesty, underpin all that we do.
- Confident, polite, hard-working children who enjoy coming to school and have great attendance.
- A nurturing environment that is supportive of children’s and adults’ mental health and wellbeing.
- The opportunity to work in a large, friendly team where communication is high priority.
- An established induction process and ongoing Professional Development that supports teachers’ development and progression.
If you think you have the required skills, experience, commitment and drive to make a difference to the children at Roseacre Primary Academy and would like an application pack, please download one from our website.
Please note that we do not accept CVs. Your accompanying letter of application must be no more than two sides of A4 in font 12 and must demonstrate an excellent standard of written English; this will be used when longlisting applications. Your letter must address all the essential criteria in the Person Specification.
We would love to meet any prospective candidate and visits to the school are strongly encouraged:
Friday 1st February and Monday 4th February 2019 at 9.00am for Celebration Assembly followed by a look-around, or Thursday 31st January 2019 at 4.00pm. If you would like to visit but cannot make any of these days, please give us a call to make alternative arrangements.
Please contact the Admin Team on 01253 319000 to arrange your visit.
Closing date for applications to be received by school is 12.00 noon on Wednesday 6th February 2019. Candidates are encouraged to submit their application form and letter, by email, to email@example.com with the word ‘APPLICATION’ in the subject line. Please ensure that you attach a ‘read receipt’ request to your email to give you peace of mind.
Shortlisting will take place on the afternoon of Friday 8th February 2019 and successful candidates will be contacted by telephone or email on the same day to arrange a time for interview. These will take place on Wednesday 13th February 2019.
To allow for an extended handover period, we are looking to appoint from Monday 18th March 2019 or as near as possible.
Achievement through Collaboration (AtC) Multi Academy Trust trustees and Roseacre Primary Academy Governing Body are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All applicants are subject to pre-employment checks, including satisfactory references; successful candidates will be required to undertake enhanced DBS and the Trust’s own checks. In addition, further associated checks relating to identity, qualification verification etc. will be undertaken.
Roseacre Primary Academy does not inform candidates when they have not been shortlisted. As such, any candidate who has not been contacted within five days of the shortlisting date should assume that he/she has been unsuccessful. Good luck with your application; I look forward to reading it!
