Roseacre Primary Academy is looking for two motivated and highly effective teaching assistants (EYFS and Lower Key Stage 2) to join a committed team from December 2018 (or sooner, if available) to cover for two Maternity Leaves.
It is an exciting time to be joining our academy as we build and shape it for the future. With high expectations of all children and the ability to set ‘a shining example’ you will be, or have the potential to become, an excellent practitioner.
Governors and staff are inordinately proud of Roseacre’s reputation, its standing in the community it serves and the children who attend; they know it is a special place to work and to learn. Governors are looking to appoint candidates who demonstrate a true desire to work at Roseacre and be part of this exceptional team.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a good team player with excellent inter-personal skills.
- Have high expectations of children’s behaviour and achievement.
- Develop and extend their current practice and have the ability to learn from others.
- Committed to working in partnership with staff, parents and children.
Our academy offers:
- Polite, hard-working children who enjoy coming to school.
- The opportunity to work as part of a large, friendly team.
- An established induction process and ongoing Professional Development.
Our children say that they would like someone who:
- Listens to what we say.
- Explains things to us clearly.
- Will praise us when we deserve it.
- Will be firm (when needed) but who treats us fairly.
- Understands the Roseacre Values of respect, honesty, tolerance, excellence, determination and courage.
Roseacre Primary Academy has an inclusive approach and, as such, we need someone who is caring, approachable and who can bring out the best in our children, whilst maintaining high expectations. Enthusiasm, energy and a sense of humour are a must!
If you think you have the required skills, experience, commitment and drive to make a difference to the children at Roseacre Primary Academy, and would like to apply, please download the application form, job description and person specification from our website.
Please note that we do not accept CVs. You must submit a letter of application for the attention of Ms Logan, Deputy Headteacher, which should address all the essential criteria in the Person Specification. The letter must be no more than two sides of A4 and demonstrate an excellent standard of written English; this criteria will be used when longlisting applications.
Visits to the school are strongly encouraged, by prior arrangement, on one of the dates below. We believe that this is an important part of the recruitment process and, as such, a number of opportunities to visit have been arranged.
